Privacy Policy
Daily Alarm is designed to keep alarm scheduling reliable while keeping your information on your device whenever possible.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Daily Alarm (the “App”) handles information when you use it. The App’s primary purpose is to create and manage one-time and recurring alarms, including features such as skipping a single occurrence without disabling the recurring schedule.
2. Information handled by the App
The App may store information you create as part of using its features, such as alarm times, labels, repeat schedules, snooze settings, skipped dates, temporary pause periods, and related preferences. This information is used to provide the alarm functionality you request.
The current version is designed so that core alarm data is stored locally on your device. We do not require you to create an account for core alarm functionality.
3. Personal and sensitive information
Daily Alarm is not designed to request your name, home address, contacts, messages, photos, or precise location for its core alarm functionality. We do not sell personal information.
If a future version introduces optional cloud synchronization, analytics, advertising, account features, or other services that process additional information, this policy will be updated before or when those features are made available, as required.
4. How information is used
Information stored by the App is used to provide features such as scheduling alarms, determining the next valid recurring alarm, applying one-day skips, restoring alarms after device restart, handling snooze and dismissal actions, and saving your app preferences.
5. Device permissions
Depending on your Android version and the features you enable, Daily Alarm may request system permissions that are necessary for reliable alarm operation. These may include:
- Notifications: to display alarm and upcoming-alarm notifications.
- Exact alarms / alarms and reminders: to schedule alarms at the time you select, where Android requires this permission.
- Run at startup / boot handling: to restore scheduled alarms after the device restarts.
- Vibration: to vibrate when an alarm rings if vibration is enabled.
- Foreground service / wake-related capabilities: where required by Android to present or operate a ringing alarm reliably.
Permissions are used only for the features that need them. You can manage app permissions through Android system settings.
6. Third-party services
The privacy practices described here apply to Daily Alarm itself. If the App later uses third-party services such as crash reporting, analytics, advertising, or cloud synchronization, this section and the Google Play Data safety disclosure should be updated to identify those services and the data they process.
7. Data retention and deletion
Local app data generally remains on your device until you edit or delete it, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App. You can delete alarms and related settings from within the App where those controls are available.
Because the current core experience does not require an account, there is no separate server-side account to delete for the local-only features described in this policy.
8. Data security
We take reasonable steps to design the App so that it uses only the data and permissions needed for its functionality. No method of electronic storage or software operation can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we aim to minimize unnecessary data handling.
9. Children’s privacy
Daily Alarm is a general-purpose utility and is not specifically directed to children. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or registration flow in the current local-only experience.
10. International users
The App may be used in different countries and regions. Where applicable, users may have rights under local privacy laws. Because the current core functionality is local-first and does not require an account, most alarm information remains under the user’s control on the device.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes, when legal requirements change, or when new data practices are introduced. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are published.
12. Contact
